Hello everyone,
As most of you know, I live in Cincinnati. I have been feeling very left out lately. Most of the "snow belt" has been getting dumped on. It had been falling all around us...snow was everywhere but here! So, I decided to make some snow of my own. Big Shot style! My creativity kicked in and this is what I came up with:
I used In Colors Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry which pull from the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper - my current favorite DSP! If you have been a Stampin' Up! customer for a while, I also pulled in an oldie but goodie into my snowflake. Do you recognize the Snowflake Vellum Paper? I could not resist pulling some of that out to use on this card.
You can see the snowflake detail on the vellum much better in this photo. I'm so glad I saved a few sheets of that! I knew just the right project would come along...LOL! You can also see some of our NEW Stitched Felt pieces from the Sweet Pea collection in the center of the snowflake. The colors work so well together! These Stitched Felt pieces are now available for purchase on page 32 of the 2010 Mini Occasions Catalog. If you did not receive a copy of the mini catalog in the mail, just let me know and I will be sure you get a copy. This mini is stocked full of fun new stamp sets, Designer Series Papers and new accessories. My wish list is growing!
Here is the recipe for this card:
- Crushed Curry - 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" - scored at 4-1/4"
- Rich Razzleberry - 4" x 5-1/4"
- DSP -3-3/4" x 5"
- Whisper White - 3" x 3" - sponged with Melon Mambo Classic Ink
- Melon Mambo - 4-3/4" x 4-3/4" for the snowflake
- Snowflake #2 Original Die for Big Shot
- Big Shot Die-Cut Machine
- Sweet Pea Stitched Felt
I did not put a greeting/saying on the front of the card, centering the snowflake and putting a saying on the inside of the card instead. You could use this card for any type of occasion. I hope you like the card and that perhaps you are inspired to make some snow of your own!
Thank you for stopping by and Happy Stamping - Cindy
