Hello everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. It was a great weekend here in Ohio...starting with a Christmas Card Stamp Camp! I am really enjoying some of the new Christmas stamp sets and used a few of them in this camp. I combined one of my favorite stand-by stamp sets with one of the new sets from the Holiday Mini Catalog. Everyone has really enjoyed this card camp. Here are pictures of the cards we made:
In this picture, you can see all four of the cards we made, some of our new ribbons that look great with the Merry Moments Christmas Designer Series Paper and some of the pieces from the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' Set. Such wonderful patterns and colors in all of this years accessories.
I LOVE this card! This is the card using Lovely As A Tree and then we have Santa's Sleigh and Reindeer from Wandering Words, flying across the moon over the trees. The base of this card is Basic Black with a layer of Night of Navy card stock under Whisper White. The inks used on this card are Night of Navy and Basic Black. We sponged Night of Navy around a punched out circle to create the moon and then sponged across the rest of the card front. Next we stamped the row of trees in Night of Navy and then santa's sleigh is stamped in Basic Black. We added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the trees and ground to resemble snow. Such a fun look.
In this card, we used the very fun Holiday Lineup stamp set...doesn't it just make you smile! We focused in on the middle three reindeer by highlighting them in a punched, layered circle. Rudy's nose is further highlighted using Real Red Stampin' Write Marker and Crystal Effects dropped on top. So cute! The ribbon wraps around the card front. This is one of our new ribbons available this year (pg. 183 of the IBC). Such a vibrant red! The bottom half of the card is rolled using the coordinating Stampn' Wheel Santa's Lineup. The card stocks are Kraft, Real Red and Whisper White. The inks used are Chocolate Chip and Real Red ink cartridge. We used a Creamy Caramel Stampin' Write marker for the reindeer bodies.
This fun little guy is from Snow Buddies which is a Level 2 Hostess Set in the Holiday Mini Catalog. There are so many fun options to accessorize him! We used a couple different patterns from Merry Moments Designer Series Paper. The Merry & Bright is actually a retired SU image that I just love! Red grosgrain ribbon ties it all together. The card stocks used on this card are Garden Green, Soft Suede (In Color) and Very Vanilla. We used several different Stampin' Write Markers - Basic Black, Going Gray, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red. We also used the Scallop Edge and Scallop Oval punches which add a fun detail to the card.
Saving the most elegant card for last! I love this card. It combines two of our new In Colors which I love together. Soft Suede and Rich Razzleberry. Since I FINALLY have the Big Shot, we had to use in on a card! This card features a Very Vanilla piece we cut out using the Top Note BigZ die. So fast and easy to use. Loving that Big Shot! The stamp sets used here are Dasher (one of the UNDER $10 stamp sets sold on the last page of the IBC and a greeting from All Holidays. The inks used are the same In Colors but we also used Versa Mark on the snowflakes for a nice soft mono-chromatic look. The snowflake image is from the Level 2 Hostess Set Christmas Punch in the IBC. Ask me how you can earn either one of the Hostess Sets used in this Christmas Card camp...free sets are so much fun to earn!
Kits from this stamp camp are available at $35/kit. You may order a kit by sending me an email or commenting to this entry.
I'll be back soon with some fun Christmas Project ideas for you!
Happy Stamping - Cindy
