Good morning everyone! Happy Friday - what a beautiful start to our Memorial Day weekend. I hope you have a wonderful and safe time with family and friends. I have a fun page to share with you today. I've wanted to do this page for a long time and finally got to it this week. The little cutie in the picture I've used in my great-nephew Landon. What a joy he is! This page is taken straight from the IBC - page 124...with just a couple of changes. It uses the stamp set Certified. I love the color combination used here. The background is Riding Hood Red layered with Textured More Mustard. The layers are made up of Sahara Sand, Baja Breeze, Baja Breeze DSP and Whisper White. The layers are stamped with the same colors of Classic Ink. I stamped the oval piece with VersaMark and used White Detail Embossing Powder (pg. 186 IBC) which makes the words pop. Dimensionals (pg. 191 IBC) are used under four of the pieces to add depth to the page. Instead of the scallop edge punch that is used in the catalog sample, I used the Tearing Edge along the thin border of Baja Breeze CS. I made the journaling pocket out of the coordinating DSP and punched 1/2 of the 1-1/4" circle punch (pg. 185 IBC). Did you know there is a "half way" mark on the side of the punch? Slide your paper in to only that mark and punch. You will get that slot opening which is great for just this look! I used the Round Tab punch (pg. 185 IBC) for the top of the slide shown. I then put in a silver brad (pg. 174 IBC) as an embellishment. So, a few fun embellishment ideas pull together to make this very fun scrap page. Even though it is a small page, little Landon is still the focus of the page!
Happy Scrapping - Cindy
